No Directory Folders - Right Side Explorer
joh...@home.com microsoft public win98 gen_discussion I had Explorer set up to give me the classic two-pane view, ie directory tree on the left and files on the right. Had to re-install and now all I've got is the web view with no directory tree. How do I get back to the two-pane view?

I've done something (with a mouse click, I think) that has changed my Windows Explorer to only have one view pane (not the two pane format, drive/folders in pane on left, files in pane on right). Can't fix this to save my life. What do I do? Any help appreciated. Thanks, Rock.

Windows Explorer loses two pane view
If you are in an Explorer two-pane view why not just use the folder pane to navigate to a different directory? Is the window which is opening another Explorer two-pane view or just a normal folder window? The latter could indicate that your default action on File type Folder isn't what you want.

How to get File Explorer to open on a certain folder?
As in Windows for Workgroups where you could customize what filetypes would not be displayed in the right pane of the file manager, does anyone know of a way to 'hide" the directories in the same manner using the two-pane view of Win95 Explorer? Just place the hidden attribute in the folder.
